This is the Drawing tool. Clicking on this allows your mouse pointer to be used to draw chemical structures. This is the basic tool used to put together your molecules in the chemical sample window. To use this tool click on the Drawing tool button to activate chemical drawing.

To add an atom to the chemical sample window, simply click in an empty space and the program will add an atom that corresponds to the indicated atom type, hybridization and charge shown in the Atom Type, Hybridization and Atomic Charge windows above the chemical sample window.

To add an atom that is bonded to another atom in the chemical sample window, click and hold the mouse-button on the atom to which you want your new atom bonded, drag to the location for the new atom and release the mouse-button. This will add a new atom, bonded to the specified atom, to your chemical sample window.
