Postdoctoral Position in inorganic chemistry are typically available for our diverse program that includes polymetallic coordination chemistry, photochemistry, bioinorganic chemistry and chemical education. The Brewer group at Virginia Tech has an opening for a postdoctoral associate that has good synthetic skills and an interest in polyazine chemistry of multimetallic systems. This position requires excellent communications skills and would benefit from strong synthetic inorganic chemistry skills and experience in electrochemistry, spectroscopy and photochemistry. Current areas of interest include the design of mixed-metal supramolecular complexes as photochemical molecular devices, the study of new multimetallic DNA binding agents and the development of new photodynamic therapy agents and anti-cancer drugs.
