Teaching

Description. An introduction to structural and physical chemistry of organic molecules.
Goals. To learn (1) theories for molecular structure and chemical reactivity, (2) how to solve chemical problems with molecular modeling software, and (3) the basis for developing structure-function relationships.
Audience. Graduate students and senior undergraduates.
Description. An introduction to organic chemistry. The first course of a two-semester sequence.
Goals. To learn how to solve problems in organic chemistry. To learn the language of organic chemistry. To understand theories for molecular structure and chemical reactivity. To improve spatial- and deductive-reasoning skills. To learn how organic chemistry impacts all aspects of life.
Audience. Undergraduates who are not Chemistry majors.
