Creating & Linking AIA Messages to Personal Tutor

Once you have defined a problem, and checked for anticipated incorrect answers, you now move to link them to an appropriate AIA message you would like to have the student see. Click on the AIA button to open up the "Define Anticipated Incorrect Answers" window.

bml DAIAwin.bmp} In this example is shown AIA answer #2 (0.6745g). We have selected from the database of AIA messages, AIA message Aa1. (You may insert your own messages, or modify the AIA database messages.)

The second example is of the AIA message chosen for the anticipated incorrect answer that would have been calculated using 3.5 cc of aluminum. DPQT23J.gif

Creating First and Second Level AIA messages:

Let us look at the two messages received for the mole conversion problem. DPQT331F.gif The first-level AIA response, C4, is the one expected if the molar mass was based on the using the chemical formula of calcium hyydroxide as CaOH.

We would write the chemical formula, CaOH, as the AIA and link it to the second level message, C7. DPQT331H.gif

Note: The problems and AIA messages can be written in another language. For an example:Language Customization.
