FINDING A TOPIC USING THE ANALYTIC INDEX

Here is how the analytic index appears on the screen. It is simply a list of keywords. Click on one and you will be shown the relevant SIRs.

If we’re interested in chemical equilibrium, it makes sense to click on "equilibrium". A dialogue box immediately appears in the middle of the analytic index. It lists several SIRs that deal with various aspects of equilibrium, and gives a brief summary of each.

(To delete a dialogue box, simply click elsewhere on the menu.)

The best way to learn what the SIRs are like is to see how two or three of them might be used in a classroom situation. The subsequent sections describe possible presentations of chemical equilibrium and basic electrochemistry. They will start with SIR DYNAMIC and SIR Q. Don’t take the actual pedagogy too seriously; but consider just how you would adapt the facilities to your approach.
