MILES-IGERT Graduate Certificate


Students enrolled or planning to enroll at the Ph.D. level in one of the Virginia Tech degree granting programs participating in the MILES-IGERT may be accepted into the MILES-IGERT Graduate Certificate program.
Benefits   Certificate Requirements
  • Work with world renowned scientists in Oxidative Processes
  • Access to state-of-the-art test facilities, information systems and equipment
  • Establish career links by completing internships at domestic or international research facilities (academic, government laboratory, or industrial) established through the MILES-IGERT
  • Earn a Ph.D. degree and a MILES-IGERT Certificate
  • Develop leadership, research, grant writing, and presentation skills
 
  • Acceptance into a department affiliated with the MILES-IGERT
  • Access to state-of-the-art test facilities, information systems and equipment
  • Working with a CORE faculty member in the MILES-IGERT
  • QCA or GPA: 3.2 or higher
  • Excellent oral and communication skills
  • Pursuing research focused on oxidative processes
  • Working within a department participating in the MILES-IGERT
  • Completion of 11-13 hours of MILES CORE courses
  • Participate in research or academic internships, outreach activities, and leadership positions
